Any registered user can create a new group. The person who creates the group automatically becomes its first Administrator.
Before you start
Make sure you are signed in to the app or web app. You will need a name for your group — other details can be added later.
Steps
Mobile
- Open the Groups tab from the bottom navigation bar.
- If you do not belong to any group yet, you will see an empty state with a Create group button — tap it.
If you already belong to one or more groups, tap the group switcher at the top of the screen and choose Create new group from the drawer. - The Create group form opens. Fill in the details:
- Name (required) – the public name of your group.
- Description – a short description of the group's purpose.
- Contact email – a public contact address for the group.
- Cover image – tap the image area to pick a photo from your library.
- Location – search for the city or venue where your group is based.
- Tap Create at the bottom of the form.
- The app creates your group, makes it your active group, and takes you to the group Feed.
Web
- In the top navigation, click My library, then click the Groups tab.
- Click Create a new group (shown in the group list or in the empty state if you have no groups yet).
- Fill in the group details — the fields are the same as on mobile.
- Click Create.
- You are taken to your new group's page.

Editing the group details later

After creating the group
- You are the only Administrator of the new group.
- The group has no other members yet — share an invitation link to bring people in.
- You can promote any member to Administrator later from the Members tab.
