To join a group you need an invitation link or an invitation code from an Administrator. Once you submit your request an Administrator needs to approve it before you gain full access.
Join via an invitation link
An invitation link looks like:
https://app.makeharmony.com/group/invite/<code>
- Tap or click the link you received.
- If you are already signed in, you are shown the group name and a brief description. Tap Join (or Request to join) to submit your request.
- If you are not signed in, you are taken to the sign-in or sign-up screen first. After signing in the app automatically continues the join flow using the saved invitation code — you do not need to reopen the link.
- Your membership enters a Pending state while an Administrator reviews it.
Mobile tip: Invitation links open directly in the app if the app is installed. If not, you are taken to the web app instead.
Join via an invitation code (Mobile)
If you received a short alphanumeric code rather than a full link:
- Open the app and go to the Groups tab.
- Tap Join a group — available from the empty state screen (if you have no groups) or from the group switcher drawer.
- Enter the invitation code in the field provided.
- Tap Join to submit your request.
Join via an invitation code (Web)
- In the top navigation, click My library, then click the Groups tab.
- Click Join a group or Enter invitation code.
- Enter the code and click Join.
Scanning a QR code
If you are in the same location as a group Administrator:
- Ask the Administrator to open the Invite members screen on their device.
- Open your phone's camera app and point it at the QR code shown on their screen.
- Tap the notification that appears to open the join link.
- Follow the same steps as a regular invitation link.
After submitting your request
Your group will appear in My library → Groups with a Pending badge. You will be notified once an Administrator approves your request.
Until approved, your access to the group's feed, playlists, and member directory is limited.
